The RTA have once again confirmed there will be free parking and extended public transport services over the Eid Al Adha holidays.
Even if your car doesn’t look like the image above , you’ll still get free parking in usually-paid-spaces across Dubai, from Saturday (10th August) until close of play on Tuesday (13th August).
If you’re catching the public transport over the Eid Al Adha break, here’s what you need to know. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced holiday timings for buses, the Metro and Tram, marine transit and public buses.
About those holiday – it still needs final confirmation, but it looks like we’ll get three days off after the weekend.
Trains are running for longer and later. On the Red line, timings are 5am-2am, Saturday 10th-Tuesday 13th.
Green line timings are the same, but starting from 5.30am over the same period.
Catch the tram around JBR, the Marina and Media City, Saturday to Thursday from 6am-1am and on Friday from 9am-1am.
Dubai’s fleet of public buses is still running round the clock. For a full break down of bus station timings, sub-stations, inter-city buses and stations in Sharjah, Fujairah and Hatta, see the RTA’s website.

The Smart Customer Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool and RTA Head Office will be operating as usual, 24/7, if you urgently need to apply for replacement vehicle registration cards, have misplaced your driving licence, and such like.
Technical Testing Centres will be closed over Eid, from 10th-13th, reopening again on Wednesday morning.
