We hope you had a healthy and happy break for Eid Al Adha.
Dubai Police helped make the holiday safer for thousands of people around the emirate.
The force received 28,603 calls on the 999 number over the festive season.
Colonel Turki bin Fares, director of Dubai Police’s Command and Control Centre, added that 950 roads accidents were recorded during the three-day holiday.
He reminded the public to call 901 for general inquires and dial 999 only for emergencies.
Over June’s Eid Al Fitr, the police control centre received 34,402 phone calls and recorded 876 traffic accidents during the week-long break.
Dubai Police introduced the 901 service in October 2010 to take the pressure off the emergency line.
