A new public night bus service linking International City and Dubai Airport goes via Rashidiya Metro Station.
The new service N30 will operate between 10pm and 5am, serving stops along its route from Dragon Mart 2 and Dubai Airport (T2).
It joins the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) other night bus routes, N55 (which travels between Ghubaiba Bus Station R and Al Maktoum International Airport) and C01 (route: Satwa Bus Station to Dubai Airport Terminals).
Along with the news of N30’s introduction to service on Sunday (1st September), the RTA committed to improving the services of 11 other routes: 11A, 24, 34, 50, 56, 95, 95A, 96, F53, X25 and N55. Whether this relates to the physical buses on the road, their frequency or the routing itself, was left unspecified.
Earlier this year the RTA added multiple new routes to its already comprehensive network. The focus on improving access to public transport is an important element of Dubai Government’s ‘Green Economy for Sustainable Development’ initiative.
Fewer cars on the road, and cleaner mass transit vehicles with lower emissions are all important parts of an environmentally friendly future.
