Mariah Carey is returning to Dubai to perform at a free concert celebrating the start of the One Year To Go Expo 2020 countdown.
Our dreams were answered. All we wanted for Expo, *takes deep breath* isssssssss you Mariah.
You might remember her for ‘When You Believe,’ ‘Hero,’ ‘Honey’ or one of her 18 other number one singles, an industrial lock-up full of awards including World Music Awards’ Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium, 19 separate World Music Awards, 10 American Music Awards, and fifteen Billboard Music Awards…
Mariah Carey is in with a fair claim of being the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) female vocalist.
She’s performed in Dubai before, back in 2017 at the 2017 edition of the Dubai Jazz Festival. But this time she has the privilege of being one of the artists selected to launch Expo 2020 One Year to Go countdown.
The ‘We Belong Together’ singer joins Emirati artist, Hussain Al Jassmi for a free concert at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai on the 20th October. The concert is part of a network of festivities across the seven emirates, with this concert and a display on the Burj Khalifa itself, being the centre of attention for when the 365 day timer begins at 8.20pm.
Other unticketed free family-friendly fun activities will be available between 5pm and 10pm in locations like the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, Ajman Museum, Umm Al Quwain Corniche, Al Qawasim Corniche in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah Fort.
Early release tickets were snapped up for a special group of pre-registered Expo fans, but there will be a second wave available from 3pm today (7th October). Expect these party passes to move just as quickly. Get flexing those finger clicking muscles.
