En Garde! Eighteen-year-old Noura Al Al Breiki is the first Emirati fencer to win a gold medal in the adult competition in the Middle East.
The Bani Yas competitor, supported by the Fatima bint Mubarak Women Sports Academy, walked away with gold medal during the Arab Fencing Championship in Kuwait on 22 December
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the UAE and Arab Fencing Federations said this is a promising start for the Emirati team.
Noura dedicated her achievement to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.
