Beachside hangout La Mer is getting its own funky surf inspired hotel.
Homegrown brand Rove Hotels is already at five sites around Dubai and 366-room Rove La Mer is going to join them in mid-2020. It’ll be Rove’s first beachfront hotel.
As we’ve come to expect from the affordable hotel chain, its latest property will have a 24-hour gym, a self-service laundry and “boutique convenience store” that’s also open round the clock. All rooms come with 48-inch TVs, smart media hubs and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Some will be specially designed for people of determination too.
Like other Rove Hotels, the lobby will feature art by local and international artists and it’s all very #staycationgoals.
Views over the stunning Arabian Gulf are a cert and those who don’t want to wander down to Jumeirah’s 2.5 kilometres of sandy shores can lounge by the hotel’s outdoor pool. We wouldn’t recommend missing out on the beaches though – since La Mer opened in 2017, they’ve been given a make-over to include showers, toilets with baby changing, access for people of determination, free Wi-Fi, four children’s playground areas and even charging points for mobiles.
As La Mer has more than 100 shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as the aquatic delights of Laguna waterpark, guests will be spoilt for choice with places to eat. In the hotel, Rove’s all-day diner The Daily will serve its popular healthy buffets and there’ll also be an outdoor terrace restaurant serving “beachside food and beverage.”
More Rove hotels are planned to join the five in Dubai – Rove Downtown, Rove City Centre, Rove Healthcare City, Rove Trade Centre and Rove Dubai Marina – here, and elsewhere in the UAE.
Olivier Harnisch, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, says: “La Mer is an ideal fit to the brand values that Rove Hotels celebrates, with a focus on offering exceptional lifestyle experiences in a trendy environment.”
