Despite a goalless draw with Brazil in the South American qualifying round for the World Cup, the Argentine national football team Qatar recorded its qualification for the 2022 World Cup.
The Argentine players did not realize they had qualified until shortly after the end of the tenth round of the South American qualifiers at the San Juan del Byzantenario.
Argentina’s national team Qatar qualified for the final after Uruguay lost 0-3 to Bolivia.
Lionel Messi, the attacking star of Paris Saint-Germain, has returned from injury and is sidelined from the last match as a starter.
The Brazilian national team, on the other hand, missed its star player Neymar da Silva in a scheduled match against Argentina due to a thigh injury.
Brazil, who finished last week in the final, are 35 points ahead of South America in the qualifying round, while Argentina are 29 points ahead of third-placed Ecuador.
The top four teams qualify directly for the World Cup, and the fifth-placed team plays in the playoffs against another continent.
Argentina, who failed to qualify for the final in Mexico in 1970 only once, have qualified for the World Cup for the thirteenth consecutive time.
