Dubai offers 32,500 instant licenses to businesses

The number of business licenses issued immediately since the launch of the “Instant Licensing” initiative in August 2017 has reached 32,564, according to a report released by the Business Registration and Licensing Department of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in Dubai. Geographical distribution

The report highlights the distribution of instant licenses issued from August 2017 to date, according to the major regions of the Dubai Emirate, where the largest share of the “Bur Dubai” region holds a total of 27,200 licenses.

As for the distribution of licenses according to the most important subdivisions, they are: Al Fahidi, Burj Khalifa, Al Murar, Port Saeed, First Trade Center, Naif, First Dubai Investment Park, Al Karama, Al Mankool and Al Garhoud.

Legal form

The legal forms of instant license include four types: limited liability company, one person company, a proprietary company and a civil business entity.

Instant licenses issued from August 2017 to date were legally distributed, with 36% of “civil services” followed by “limited liability companies” 27%, then “private companies” 23%, and finally “limited liability companies – 14% per person”.

License Features

Instant Licensing provides the option to obtain companies’ licenses and business records and to submit electronic articles as a member of the Dubai Chamber immediately through the same procedure. In addition to the Facility Card of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, the license also enables immediate access to the Facility Card of the Public Administration for Resident and Foreign Affairs, where the customer receives a text message after the license has been granted with three employee permits.

Citizens’ Registration

The feature of registering staff for “citizens” was included in the context of the implementation of Emiratisation decisions approved by the Council of Ministers headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, when the Ministry of Human Resources and Citizenship issued an immediate license. , Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and promoting the private sector with the aim of attracting citizens, developing their skills and abilities and preparing national skills to effectively lead a competitive knowledge economy.
