Gulf News | More than 3,000 people have visited the Bahrain Fine Art Exhibition since its inception

More than a month after its launch, the Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition is in its seventh edition. Forty people continue to open its doors and present a panoramic image that expresses the beauty and diversity of the works of the fine art movement. In the Kingdom of Bahrain, more than 3,000 people have visited so far. This year, 27 female artists and 20 pioneer and young artists, citizens and residents of the state, are participating in the exhibition. They offer dozens of works using a variety of materials, styles and art schools.

Organized by the Bahrain Commission for Culture and Archeology at the Bahrain Theater, the exhibition opened its doors in mid-July last year under the chairmanship of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., except Tuesdays.

The Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition includes drawing works using various schools and art trends, various materials and materials, video and installation work, photography, sculpture and more. As the exhibition opened, it announced the winners of its awards, as Mariam al-Nuaimi won the first “Al Thana” award this year, while Ahmed Annan won the second prize, and Jumana al-Qassab won the third prize.

As part of the exhibition’s activities, the award for the audience, which is the fourth prize for the exhibition, will be won by the artist, who won the highest number of audience votes, the authority announced the end of the exhibition. You can vote for your favorite artwork through a special stage located in the exhibition hall at the Bahrain National Theater.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the authority launched an exhibition: “Khalifa bin Salman – Renewed Existence of Love for Years: 1972-2020” Dedicated to His Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, God Bless Mercy . The exhibition includes pictures of the opening of the exhibition from its inception, a film documenting fine art exhibitions over forty-six years, and a few words written by His Highness about the exhibition.
