The National Meteorological Center expects thunderstorms to occur in several governorates in the next 24 hours.

In the weather forecast, the center said that heavy rain with thunder is expected in the provinces of Saada, Hajja, Al-Mahweed, Amran, Sanaa, Tamar, Rema, Ib, Al-Talia, Al. -Bayda, Taiz, Lahj and Abyan highlands, and western coastal areas and Tihama plain.

According to the center, Al-Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout, Al-Mahra, Socotra Archipelago and parts of the southern and eastern coasts, may experience thunderstorms at times. and adjacent interior areas.

Also, the amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours, measured at some meteorological stations: Sanaa: 18 mm, Hajja: 7, Hatta: 7, Rima: 6.8, Amran: 3.3, Saada: 0.4

Some areas of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Al Hudaydah, Al Mahwit, Rema, Tamar and Shabwa experienced rainfall of varying intensity outside the boundaries of meteorological stations.

The Center warned citizens in rain-affected areas not to stay in ravines and cliffs, avoid crossing them during and after rains, stay near tall objects such as trees and poles, and use electronic devices that carry thunderbolts. .

He warned of reduced horizontal visibility on mountain roads when rain and fog build up, and of crossing mud bridges when rocks slide and rock flows.
