According to Greg Mays, product manager of OneNote, Microsoft announced that its new assistant “Microsoft 365 Copilot” will be powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

And, the company said, the tool combines the power of large language models (LLMs), user data from Microsoft Graph — notes, calendars, emails, chats, documents, appointments and more — and Microsoft 365 apps. Powerful productivity tool.

All of this is done in compliance with the company’s existing corporate data protection and privacy obligations. Also, users can ask an AI assistant to create a plan for an event or create topics and talking points for meetings in OneNote.

However, the tech giant hasn’t announced exactly when Copilot will be available on OneNote, and Microsoft initially announced AI-powered Copilot for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Power Platform and Viva last month.

For example, Copilot in Word “writes, edits, summarizes and creates”, and with the help of natural language commands, Copilot in PowerPoint makes the production process possible by converting ideas into a structured presentation.
