The Emir of Kuwait recited the constitutional oath, which stated: “I swear by God Almighty to respect the Constitution and the laws of the state, to protect the freedom, interests and money of the people, and to protect the independence of the country and the region. integrity,” according to the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

In a speech before the National Assembly, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad said he saw power as “a duty, not an honor” and stressed the need for the country’s political leadership to be “closer to everyone”.

The Emir of Kuwait expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the leaders, leaders, officials and members of the people of Kuwait who mourned the late Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawab Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Did not participate.

The Emir of Kuwait also said in his speech: “We emphasized in our previous speeches that there are national rights that must be carried out by the legislative and executive authorities for the benefit of the nation and its citizens. Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad continued: “The appointments and transfers that took place in some jobs and positions are not consistent with the most basic standards of justice and fairness. And what happened in the citizenship file regarding the change of Kuwaiti identity, and what happened in the amnesty file and its consequences and the contest in the file.” It is the best witness and evidence to the extent that the withdrawal of consent is detrimental to the interests and national gains of the country.”

The Kuwaiti Emir added: “The silence of members of the legislative and executive authorities on the planned absurdity of these files and others adds to the sadness and anguish, which gave them legitimacy. Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad added: “This is why our sovereign decision came in writing to stop a part of this nonsense for a certain period of time, to stop appointment, transfer, promotion and secondment decisions, and the rest of the files will be dealt with, God willing, later.”

Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has been sworn in as the 17th Emir of Kuwait, the country’s official news agency reported.
