Google fixes fingerprint reader issue on Pixel 6

Date:

Google has released a new update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices that fix issues with the fingerprint scanner, and with just a few more weeks to go until December, the company released a surprising update for both phones in mid-November. According to the report of the Arab Gateway for Technology News.

Details of the update have been confirmed via the Google Support page, which indicates minor bug fixes and some improvements in fingerprint sensor performance for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones. Sensor.

The company responded that using the fingerprint reader on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro would be difficult or slow to identify your fingerprint, and that the scanner’s enhanced security algorithms could lead to slow or unreliable performance.

Google did not specify whether the scanner’s performance was related to problems with the device’s software or hardware, and its initial response indicated that the scanner should be slow for its security features to work properly, but now the company has released an update. The problem may be software related.

Overall, the results of the update are mixed, and it seems to offer some improvements, but it is still not compatible with other companies’ fingerprint scanners, and while some say it fixes the update issue, others say it makes a difference, but only slightly.

It’s not clear if this kind of fingerprint scanner update will be the last or if the company is planning another update in the future, as Google’s decision to use an under-screen scanner instead of ultrasound may be the problem.
