Bloody new clashes in West Bank amid Israeli military offensive

Israeli forces have arrested more than 1,030 Palestinians in the West Bank since the war in Gaza began, the Israeli military said on Sunday.

The health ministry in Ramallah said five Palestinians were killed during clashes with Israeli soldiers in four different locations on Sunday.

Israel’s military says 700 of those arrested in the West Bank in the past three weeks are members of Hamas.

During Israeli military raids in the West Bank on Sunday, soldiers arrested 23 Palestinians wanted by Israeli authorities.

The Israeli military said explosives were thrown at soldiers during the operation, and gunfire occurred during a raid on the Asghar refugee camp near Nablus.
