Sony is dropping Bad Pony from its product line

Sony Pictures has removed Puerto Rican singer Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio’s film debut, “Bad Bunny,” from its slate of upcoming productions, in which he played a character from the Marvel comics.

The character “El Muerto” is one of the villainous characters that Spider-Man faces against “Spider-Man” in many “Marvel” stories.

According to the magazineVariety“Sony” removed “El Muerto” from its slate of works, which was scheduled to be released on January 12, 2024, and replaced it with “Dump Money”, a film inspired by the video game “GameStop”. ”.

The magazine pointed out that “El Muerto” is an evil character that Spider-Man confronts “Spider-Man” in several Marvel stories. The film was the first to transition the character from paperbacks to cinematic creations of superheroes.

The reasons behind the return of the job are still unknown and this is a film about a failed wrestler who accidentally acquires a magic mask that gives him superpowers, which he uses for good deeds and to save the world.

Also, during the “Cinema Congress 2022” festival, “Bad Bunny” previously expressed his happiness to be the first Latin singer to sign with “Sony” for the absolute championship of one of his favorite Marvel characters.

Notably, Sony will soon release Aaron Taylor-Johnson starrer “Graven the Hunter” on October 6, 2023 and Dakota Johnson starrer “Madam Web” on February 16, 2024.
