The Supreme Council of Universities is considering changing the name of physical education colleges to “Sports Science”.

The Supreme Council of Universities reviewed the report on the work of the Coordinating Office for Public Universities and Institutions for the academic year 2023/2024, said Dr. Adel Abdel Ghafar, Media Advisor and Official Spokesperson of the Ministry.

The Council thanked the Coordination Office headed by Syed Atta, the Supreme Coordination Committee, the General Administration of the Media Office and the Official Spokesperson of the Ministry for their fruitful efforts to successfully complete the integration of public universities and institutions this year.

The official spokesperson added that the council discussed the draft decision regarding the necessary legislative amendments to change the name of physical education colleges in universities to sports science colleges.

The Council approved the list of Technical Nursing Institutions affiliated to the Public Authority for Health Care.

The Council approved the distribution of guidelines for restrictions on the use of artificial intelligence applications in higher education in various Egyptian higher education institutions.

The council was informed about the desire of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to run the “Festival of Creativity” for the twelfth season from this October till April 2024.

The Council was also informed about the Global Forum on Educational Technology (EdTech) being held in London from 24 to 26 January 2024, where around 25 countries will participate and present research and products, technologies, models and solutions. Educational technology.
