5 earthquakes in Kuwait

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake shook Kuwait on Saturday, according to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information.

The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued.
The Kuwaiti fire brigade said there was no damage from the quake.
The magnitude of the earthquake in Kuwait this morning was 5 on the Richter scale, according to the Kuwait National Seismological Network.

“The quake struck at a depth of 5 kilometers underground, southwest of al-Ahmadi,” he added.

The public relations and media department of the Public Fire Service said in a statement about the quake that the Central Operations Department had since received several reports, most of which came from people living in the southern parts of the country.

According to the fire brigade, “the Federal Operations Department did not report any damage as a result of the quake, but only reports to investigate the source of the quake.”
