Twitter CEO Elon Musk says the company is not a “hostage” to the show

Date:

Twitter CEO Baraj Agarwal tried to reassure employees that the company was not “hostage” to the news of billionaire Elon Musk’s auction, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday.

During the extended staff meeting, Agarwal expressed his appreciation for their work and encouraged them to focus, saying, “We have staff in control of what is happening.”

Earlier today, Tesla’s CEO Musk offered to buy Twitter for $ 43 billion.

Agarwal told staff that the board was still considering Musk’s offer, but could not tell them everything about the matter.

At one point in the meeting, when Reuters asked, an employee asked how the company came to the decision to offer Musk a place on its board of directors.

“Are we going to start inviting all the millionaires to the board of directors?” He said.

Agarwal responded that the Board was acting in the interest of the shareholders of the company.

“We need to focus on the voice of the people who are important to the service we provide so we can learn and improve,” he said.
