Al-Hajraf expressed his desire that the Jeddah Summit on Security and Development will begin a new phase based on common understanding and joint action in dealing with security and stability challenges. Creating goals and futures.
Meanwhile, Jordan’s King Abdullah II will attend the Jeddah Security and Development Summit from the United States today, Jordanian news agency Petra reported.
In addition to Jordan, the Gulf Cooperation Council, which brings together the United States, Egypt and Iraq, will discuss regional and international developments and ways to expand cooperation between participating countries, especially in the economic sectors, food security, energy and water.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Jordanian king will hold meetings with participants to discuss several regional issues, the first of which is the Palestinian issue, as well as efforts to find political solutions to crises in the region and strengthen bilateral ties. .
For his part, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Qassemi confirmed that the Jeddah conference will discuss opportunities for cooperation on energy and climate change files.
Al-Qassemi said during a press conference before leaving the capital Baghdad to attend a summit in Saudi Arabia that Iraq seeks to zero in on problems and achieve a balance in relations, which will not be a springboard. Intimidation of neighboring countries.
He mentioned that he will discuss with the US President about the file of strategic agreement on aspects of health and economy.
According to experts in political affairs, energy, food security, strengthening US-Arab relations and stability of the region are among the main files of the summit.
US political analyst Hadeel Owais told Al-Ittihad that the US has realized the importance of strengthening its ties with the Middle East, especially the Gulf countries.
The Jeddah summit will discuss several key issues between the United States and the Middle East, as well as strengthening peace in the Arab region and addressing security and economic challenges, according to former Foreign Minister Ambassador Hassan Haridi. is coming
