US President Joe Biden has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not need F-16 fighter jets at this time, and that such fighter jets should not be sent to Ukraine at this time.

In an interview with ABC News on Friday evening, Biden added that Zelensky “doesn’t need the F-16s right now … I’m going to skip it for now.”

The Russian Navy frequently fires missiles from its fleet in the Black Sea as part of Moscow’s efforts to target Ukraine’s critical infrastructure and power generation facilities.

The military command in the Southern Region said in an update on Facebook on Friday evening: “The fleet of warships in the Black Sea has doubled compared to this morning … there are now eight ships.”

He added that this “could indicate a missile strike and drone strikes in the making”.

One of them described the ship as a warship armed with eight caliber missiles.

On Saturday, Russia launched four Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea, two of which Ukraine said were shot down.

Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is stationed on the Crimean Peninsula, which Moscow annexed in 2014.
