Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – A member of the Afghan youth football team was killed when a U.S. military plane crashed as it departed from Kabul airport after Taliban control of Afghanistan, local news reports said.
Afghanistan’s Haryana news agency on Thursday confirmed that the director of the Afghan Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, Jackie Anori, a 19 – year – old member of the national youth football team, had been forced to flee the country by boarding a U.S. military plane.

Video footage showed at least two people falling from a U.S. military C-17 plane in mid-air.
On Tuesday, several people announced an investigation following the discovery of human remains on the plane’s wheelbarrow as the U.S. military departed from Kabul airport.
