The Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2026 has extended its nomination deadline to 11 January 2026. The decision follows a strong global response, with more than 134,000 registrations received from nurses across 214 countries. Nurses worldwide can submit their nominations through the official platform at www.asterguardians.com.

The award is an initiative of Aster DM Healthcare, a global integrated healthcare provider. The high number of registrations highlights the growing international profile of the award and its relevance to the nursing community.

The 2026 awards ceremony will take place in New Delhi, India, bringing the programme to a new global venue. The previous edition was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where Nurse Naomi Oyoe Ohene Oti received the award in recognition of her work in cancer care and nursing education, which has influenced oncology nursing across Africa.

The award carries a total prize of $250,000 and recognises nurses who show strong commitment, innovation, and compassionate care in their local communities and healthcare systems.

Commenting on the milestone, Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman, Aster DM Healthcare said, “With nurses from 214 countries joining this year, the fifth edition of the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award truly reflects the global spirit of healthcare. This award honours the tireless commitment of nurses, showcases their extraordinary contributions, and inspires a new generation of healthcare heroes across the world. With 134,000+ registrations, we are reminded that nurses everywhere are shaping a healthier, stronger world – and it’s time they receive the recognition they truly deserve.”

Nominations for the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2026 have been submitted by nurses from every region, including the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia, reflecting the award’s broad international reach.
