Mediclinic Middle East has received the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) Network of Excellence in Endoscopy designation, covering four of its Dubai hospitals following individual accreditations each facility completed earlier this year.
The four hospitals, Mediclinic City Hospital, Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, Mediclinic Welcare Hospital and Mediclinic Dubai Mall, had each qualified as SRC Centers of Excellence in Endoscopy before the network-level designation could be awarded. SRC accredited Mediclinic Parkview Hospital on 3 February 2025 and Mediclinic City Hospital on 14 February 2025.
What the network designation requires
To qualify for SRC’s Network of Excellence, a hospital group must have at least three participating facilities within the same system, all accredited in the same specialty. The network must appoint one Network Program Coordinator, who must be a licensed medical professional, as well as individual coordinators at each site. All coordinators meet at least quarterly, and each facility and its physicians must meet or exceed SRC’s volume and outcomes criteria.
SRC accreditation covers both the facility and the physicians delivering care, a combination SRC says distinguishes it from other quality programmes. Once granted, the designation stays in place for as long as the facility and its medical professionals remain in verifiable compliance, with on-site inspections carried out every three years by full-time SRC employees.
Assessment covers physicians’ expertise and experience, clinical pathways, consultative services, equipment, patient education and continuous quality improvement processes.

The accreditation applies to gastrointestinal endoscopy services across the four sites. Patients accessing the procedure at any of the four hospitals can expect the same clinical pathways and governance standards, according to the group.
Mediclinic Middle East is due for its first network-level on-site review within three years of the designation date, in line with SRC’s standard accreditation cycle.
