Syria are third in Group B with three points, trailing Tunisia by a goal difference.

The United Arab Emirates is top with six points and Mauritania is last in the group without points.

Compared to Tunisia’s defeat against the United Arab Emirates, the Syrian team will qualify if they win against Mauritania.

This is because, according to the rules of the Arab Cup football championship, if two or more teams are equal in the number of points in the same team after the group stage is over, the goal difference for each team in all group matches will be determined first. To do.

With an equal goal difference, both teams that score the most goals in all group matches will qualify for the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, if there is a re-equilibrium on those criteria, the number of points settled between the three teams competing for qualification is used, except for the results of the matches of the fourth-placed team.

If there is a draw again, all three teams will seek the difference in goals scored between them, and if there is a tie, the goals scored by each team involved will be used.

In the event of a rematch, the rules of a fair game are applied, with one point deducted for each yellow card received by one of the respective teams’ players, three points for the indirect red card and four points for the direct red card. The card, and five points for the yellow card and the direct red card for the same player with the lowest number of points deducted from it will qualify the team.

In the event of a re-draw, the last step will be to draw the lottery to determine the qualifying teams.
