Norway international midfielder Martin Odeguard is the third star to leave Real Madrid during the current summer transfer season, after defenders Sergio Ramos of Spain and Rafael Varane of France.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in exchange market news, confirmed on his Twitter account that Odeguard, who played on loan with Arsenal in the second half of last season, has joined the English team permanently for 40 million euros.

Italian journalist Norwegian midfielder has signed a contract under which he will remain at Arsenal’s ranks until 2026.

After Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain and Varane from Manchester United, the 22-year-old Odegaard became the third star to leave Real Madrid this summer.

Odegord joined Real Madrid at the age of 16 from Stromskotset, Norway in 2015, but was unable to impose himself with the royal team, spending two years on loan with Dutchman Herwen, his home country Widesz Arnhem, then Real Sociedad Spain and Arsenal.
