Al-Ahli are making an offer to Barcelona to sign Frank Casey

Saudi club Al-Ahly have made an official offer to Barcelona to sign Ivorian midfielder Frank Casey in the current summer transfer window.

Frank Casey, 26, is under contract with the Blaugrana until June 30, 2026, having signed during the Mercado last summer after his deal with Milan expired.

Casey joined Barcelona on a free transfer from AC Milan last summer.

He explained that Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli could offer another 10 million tax-free to Casey, which could force him to recalculate his calculations regarding a move to the English Premier League or the German league, a trip with Barcelona knowing the Ivorian is from Yemen, but his deal with Ilkay Gundogan is a done deal. Al-Ahly’s offer to sign Casey runs until 2026, which he hinted would refresh Barcelona’s coffers as the team’s director of football, Matteo Alemany, is in charge of negotiations that could win if the player gives his consent.

Frank Casey made 28 appearances for Barcelona in the Spanish league last season, including 6 matches in the Champions League, 2 in the Europa League, 5 in the King’s Cup and 2 in the Spanish Super Cup.

He revealed that Casey refused to enter into a mutual agreement with Marcelo Brozovic to join Inter Milan last January.
