Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, announced details of its achievements during the period January-September 2023 as it succeeded in attracting 15 multinationals and 77 small and 92 companies to the emirate. Medium-sized companies, while 33 support the expansion of a company from Dubai to global markets, either by improving its exports or establishing an overseas presence.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai International Chamber, said: “Through our services, resources and networks of relationships with the public and private sectors, we help Dubai companies to expand their business and benefit from various investments and exports. Opportunities in foreign markets. We continue to use our growing network of offices around the world to attract investments to Dubai and support foreign companies to establish business in the emirate. The Chamber is committed to promoting trade and investment as part of its ongoing efforts to achieve the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to double the size of the emirate’s economy by 2033.
The Dubai International Chamber opened three new external representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Milan, Italy and the French capital Paris in the third quarter of this year to increase its presence in various parts of Europe and Southeast Asia. These offices create new communication and economic cooperation, support the global expansion of Dubai-based companies and play a key role in attracting foreign companies, SMEs, investors and global talent to Dubai. Therefore, at the end of the third quarter, the Dubai International Chamber opened 9 new external representative offices in the first nine months of this year, confirming that it is on the right track to progress in achieving the goals of “Dubai Global”. Efforts by establishing 50 representative offices by 2030.
This year, the Chamber launched the “New Frontiers for External Expansion” initiative, aimed at supporting the expansion of Emirati companies into overseas markets and members. The initiative is based on creating special trade missions involving global markets targeting Emirati companies and organizing events and meetings in these markets with the aim of exploring investment opportunities and joint economic partnerships. Apart from Hong Kong, Chamber 4 organized trips to Central Asian markets (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan), London and Johannesburg, South Africa.
In the current year, the Chamber launched the “Global Expansion Series”, which aims to support the international growth of local companies and promote their expansion into global markets, and in this effort organized two events until the end of the third quarter of this year. With the participation of more than 100 companies.
Dubai International Chamber supports local companies in achieving global success by expanding into Dubai’s new global markets, establishing cross-border economic partnerships and attracting companies, investors and talent from around the world. . The Chamber aims to reach 30 global markets of strategic importance to the Emirate through its growing network of overseas representative offices.
