Abu Dhabi, June 12 / WAM / The General Assembly of the Al Shihu Society for National Heritage – was held at the headquarters of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, the capital of Abu Dhabi, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Abdullah Rashid. Bin Logius Al Shehi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association; The Association commended the efforts made in observing its generality to the organizations of the affiliated associations.

The meeting schedule and the association’s participation in the country’s National Day celebrations and public events and the ongoing partnership between the association and government agencies and organizations were recognized.

At the meeting, Abdullah Rashid Lakhiyas Al Shehi stressed the pioneering and civilized role played by State President Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan in supporting the urban and cultural renaissance of the country. Quality leaps achieved by the UAE in the path of growth and creativity.

He pointed out that the association adopts a volunteer approach by participating in many celebrations in the spirit of national volunteerism in support of efforts to preserve the heritage of fathers and grandfathers and to revive the traditional arts.

The Association extended its blessings to many members and expressed its appreciation to the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi for its continued support to the Association and folk art groups.
