Emirates News Agency – Head of State meets Vietnam PM on sidelines of “Riyadh Summit” between Gulf Cooperation Council and ASEAN

RIYADH, October 20 / WAM / Head of State Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, met with His Excellency Bam Minh Chien, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The countries of South East Asia (ASEAN) started their work today in the sister kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the “Riyadh Summit” between the Cooperation Council for the Gulf Arab States and the Association of Gulf Arab States.
During the meeting held at the summit headquarters at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center, the Prime Minister of Vietnam and the Prime Minister of Vietnam discussed the paths of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the possibilities of improving and strengthening them in a way. It serves their mutual interests and achieves the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.

The meeting also discussed the significance of the “Riyadh Summit” between the Gulf Cooperation Council and ASEAN and its effects on promoting joint cooperation at various levels between the two sides, especially in economic and investment aspects and promising opportunities for creating more comprehensive development. Partnerships in service to people’s aspirations for growth and sustainable prosperity… To ensure sustainability of dialogue and consultation with stakeholders and find ways to enhance cooperation to achieve stability and development around the world.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser on Special Affairs. His Excellency Ali Bin Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the President’s Office and the Supreme Council for National Security.
