Emirates News Agency – Mohammed bin Saeed receives King of Sweden

Abu Dhabi, Dec 14 / WAM / Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and Deputy Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan today received Carl XVI Gustaf, King of the Allied Kingdom of Sweden. A work trip to the country, including sponsoring Sweden’s pavilion celebrations to attend Expo 2020 Dubai on its national day.

During the meeting at the Beach Palace, Swedish President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the King and wished him “God’s protection”. Congratulations to his friendly country for further progress and prosperity.

His Highness King His Highness and His Majesty Carl XVI discussed the friendly and cooperative relations between the United Arab Emirates and Sweden and the opportunities for the two countries to promote them in all fields, including innovation and technology as well as investment and economics. Attempts to build a sustainable knowledge economy in order to achieve their common interests and support development efforts.

His Excellency and His Majesty exchanged views on many issues of common concern.

The conference presents Expo 2020 Dubai, the history of world cultures and its people in its corridors, and presents the development plans of its countries and the experiences and sustainable solutions in which it participates. Sweden Participates in the Sustainability Area with the Pavilion “Forest” under the slogan “Sharing Creativity for Innovation” with the aim of ensuring a better future for communities’ lives and their generations.

The meeting was attended by Abu Dhabi Emirate Executive Council member Sheikh Hamad bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan, and Advisor on Special Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan. Ministry of Presidential Affairs, and HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Sweden.
