Emirates News Agency – University of Dubai allocates 3 million dirhams for scientific research by 2022

Dubai, June 5 / WAM / The University of Dubai has set aside three million dirhams for scientific research this year as part of its interest in scientific research and its role in community service, one of its most important strategic objectives. The Ministry of Education stressed the importance of allocating specific budgets for scientific research in universities and research centers across the country.

His Excellency the President of the University of Dubai. Isa al-Bastaki affirmed the university’s interest in conducting scientific research and numerous scientific researches in the areas of modern technology serving the community. Academic staff were published in prestigious international journals and some of them were patented.

He explained that the university has established several laboratories and research centers, including the Space Laboratory, in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, within the framework of interest in scientific research. The Free Regional Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Leadership Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence and Intelligence are currently under construction in collaboration with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the Center for Electronic Safety, Dubai Electronic Safety Center, Future Research Center and Research and Management Consulting Center.

For his part, Dr. Hussein Al-Ahmad, Vice President for Educational Affairs, said 350,000 dirhams would be allocated for research selected from 16 research projects submitted by members of the academic staff. Professor of External Education from one of the most prestigious universities in the world, including being on the proposed research team, assigned to each research selected according to specific terms and conditions.
