After winning the English Premier League Cup, Manchester City will host their neighbors and rivals Manchester United at Wembley Stadium today, hoping to win a second title this season. The treble was achieved when they played in the Champions League final against Italy on the 10th of this month at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

Man United are considered to be the only ones to have won the treble in England in 1999, when they were crowned league champions in the last round against Tottenham, then won the FA Cup by defeating Newcastle 2-0, and their historic win over Bayern Munich 2-1 in the Champions Final, all in 11 days. . City coach Spaniard Guardiola warned his team’s stars in press reports that their arch-neighbours are capable of spoiling their dreams. He said they need to be very focused, especially since the opposition have the ability to trouble City in the competition. City made it 12 consecutive wins in the English Premier League to win the title, having previously beaten United 6-3 in October, but lost the second leg 2-1. City’s trump card is Norwegian Haaland, who has scored 52 goals in various competitions this season and 36 in the league.

On the other hand, Dutch United manager Den Haag defied expectations in his first season as he led them to a 2-0 win over Newcastle at the end of February to win the League Cup, finishing third in the league. Champions League next season. Den Haag became only the second manager in Manchester United’s history to lead his team to the title in his first season. Even without their French striker Anthony Martial, United will be hoping this will be a stumbling block in the neighbours’ path to a hat-trick and equalizing their tally.

• City won the English Premier League title and will play in the cup final today and the European Champions final on the 10th of this month.
