In Lebanon today, Saturday, September 25, 2021, the price of gold soared, affected by the rise in the price of the precious metal worldwide.

The price of gold in Lebanon today

The price of a gram of 24 carat gold in Lebanon rose to 86,040 thousand pounds ($ 56.31) on Friday compared to 85,664 thousand pounds ($ 56.48).

The price of a gram of 21 carat gold (the most traded in the market) in Lebanon rose to 75.287 thousand pounds ($ 49.27) compared to 74.958 thousand pounds ($ 49.42) on Friday.

Also the price of a gram of 18 carat gold increased by 64,531 thousand pounds ($ 42.23), compared to 64,249 thousand pounds ($ 42.36).

In Lebanon, the price of 14 grams of gold is about 50,190 thousand pounds ($ 32.85), and the price of 12 grams of gold is 43,020 thousand pounds ($ 28.15).

Price of gold per ounce and pound

The price of an ounce in Lebanon reached 2.664 million pounds ($ 1757) compared to 2.664 million pounds ($ 1757) silver.

The price of a pound of gold in Lebanon (21 carat 8 grams) was 602.292 thousand pounds ($ 394.17) on Saturday, compared to 599.665 thousand pounds ($ 395.36) yesterday.

Global gold prices

Gold prices rose slightly at the close of trading on Friday, while the Federal Reserve monitored the prospects for monetary policy, tightening money, raising interest rates and easing US stimulus packages to support the economy against the Corona epidemic.

Precious metal was hit by this week’s Federal Reserve meeting, which showed expectations that property purchases might be cut in November, with the central bank’s rate move ahead of 2023, which expects next year’s rate hike instead of the average estimate released in June.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.1%, or $ 1.90, to $ 1,751.70 an ounce, a modest increase of 30 cents during the week.
