Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, has begun considering a return to her former career as an actress.
Meghan Markle has reached out to several senior directors and producers to express her desire to resume her artistic career after years off due to her relationship with Prince Harry and her royal family commitments, the New York Post reported.
The newspaper quoted a magazine as saying a source close to Meghan Markle said: “The Suits series has been a huge success and the producers have informed her of the audience’s desire to see her perform again and she is keen on the idea.”
He added, “Although Meghan Markle wants to get a role in a TV series, her real goal is to participate in a drama film because she believes in her ability to win an Academy Award in the future.”
Last April, Meghan Markle signed a contract with an artist management company, but she has yet to sign a contract to deliver any work.
The source explained, “Meghan Markle has received many offers over the past five years but turned them down because she wanted to change royal life and then start a new path in Hollywood with her husband Prince Harry. Now that has changed.”
And he continued, “The offers began to dwindle, so Meghan Markle began talking to senior producers and directors to get a good role, a step that Harry supports, because he firmly believes that his wife cannot stay away from acting. She has a strong love for him.” The source confirmed that Meghan Markle believes that Harry can become a good actor, but he has so far rejected the move, but it is difficult to confirm whether he will change his position in the future.
