The Kuwaiti national team qualified for the final of the AFC U-23 Cup by beating its rival Saudi Arabia 2-1 in the second round of Group D of the 2022 AFC U-23 Cup qualifiers today, Saturday.

The Saudi team scored the first goal in the 26th minute with the signature of Fras Al-Breikan, but the Kuwait Blue scored two goals in the 52nd and 56th minutes with Eid al-Rashidi and Yusuf al-Rashidi.

There was a clash between the two teams at the last moment of the match.

The win lifted Kuwait’s lead to 6 points, with Youssef Aid al-Rashidi scoring 1-0 in the first match against Bangladesh.

For the Saudis, there is a point in the draw with Uzbekistan 2-2 in the first round.

Kuwait will play Uzbekistan in the third round and Saudi Arabia will play Bangladesh in the third round.
