Microsoft introduces Designer app for designing with artificial intelligence

Microsoft launched its new “Designer” app for Android users, allowing users to create designs using artificial intelligence capabilities.

The application can now be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store to use to design invitations, digital postcards, and create graphics suitable for posting on social media platforms.

This app is based on the DALL-E artificial intelligence model developed by OpenAI, which is behind the popular artificial intelligence robot ChatGPT.

The company announced the “Microsoft Designer” tool last May, and it was available for use in the Edge browser and across the web before Microsoft introduced a dedicated app for mobile devices.

Like other image tools based on artificial intelligence, Microsoft’s new application allows the creation of designs by writing text commands, as the application creates different drawings that the user deems appropriate, with the ability to change them.

The app can perform other tasks like removing background from photos, drawing posts, resizing images and designs and many more.

Note that the app is currently in beta mode and may not be compatible with some devices. While the app is currently free, Microsoft has said that it won’t be free in the future.

Microsoft is expected to launch a similar app for iPhones and iPads in the App Store in the next few weeks.
