Mohammed bin Rashid and Mohammed bin Saeed welcome the Turkish Foreign Minister

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoklu in Dubai yesterday.

The meeting also discussed the need to enhance cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey, support development programs that guide the two countries to achieve common interests through improving its structure in all sectors, diversifying economic opportunities and enhancing trade and investment. Exchange, views on regional and international issues of common interest to achieve new levels of cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, the Turkish Minister commended the great progress made by the United Arab Emirates in various fields, including its improved infrastructure and attractive and supportive economic environment for investment, and the importance of enhancing the cooperation framework between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates in all fields. According to the economic and trade situation of both countries regionally and globally.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Governor of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and Reem bint Ibrahim Al-Hashemi, State for International Cooperation.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces, welcomed allied Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu yesterday.

During the meeting, which was held at the Shati Palace, he welcomed the visiting Turkish Foreign Minister to the United Arab Emirates. He wished the United Arab Emirates further prosperity and progress, while also extending his congratulations to the Turkish President and to Turkey and its people for continued stability and prosperity.

His Excellency and Gauchoklu discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of investment and economics, exchanging views on common interests and developments in regional and international arenas, and ways to enhance them.

The meeting also touched on the importance of the exhibition in achieving positive links between Turkey’s participation in “Expo 2020 Dubai” and international perspectives on achieving sustainable growth and meeting global challenges in general.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing the joint work to advance the UAE-Turkey relations in the future and to enhance the positive developments that these relations have seen in the past. The two countries and their friendly people are expanding the base of their common interests and serving stability and peace in the region.
