The doctor also pointed out that the regular practice of brushing with strong toothpaste and antiseptics leads to an imbalance in the oral microbiome, killing all the bacteria in the mouth, good or bad.

Oral bacteria are similar to gut bacteria in that they number in the billions and are both harmful and beneficial.

He also noted that not using oral care products that contain alcohol and other ingredients can alter the oral microbiome, such as antiseptic mouthwashes that kill 99% of germs.

That’s why this method removes all but “the tiny, super-strong microbes that are ready to repopulate the entire mouth unchecked after the good bacteria have been removed.”

Some suggestions

In addition, the doctor gave several tips to reduce risks and protect teeth, among which he emphasized the need to start the morning oral care routine before breakfast, not after, because whenever we eat, the mouth becomes acidic. Enamel is damaged, so we should wait 30 to 60 minutes after eating and drinking before brushing.

And after waking up, you should use an alkaline mouthwash to restore the pH in your mouth and reduce plaque build-up during the night.

He also emphasized the importance of flossing, as regular floss is best, the second option is floss with a handle, and then electric dental floss.

It is important not to neglect cleaning the tongue with a tongue scraper or brush, as this logic is a great source of bad breath-causing bacteria.

Brush your teeth using a safe and effective toothpaste and a soft toothbrush.

It’s important to repeat this routine before bed, but reverse the order so that the last oral care product you use before bed is an alkaline mouthwash.
