The National Institute for Astronomical Research announces the date of Jumada al-Awwal from 1445 Hijri.

According to astronomical calculations, Jumada al-Awwal 1445 Hijri started on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 and its number is 29 days, while Rabi al-Aghir month started on Monday, October 16, its number is 30 days.

Many peoples adopted their own calendars, some examples of which are: “Egyptian Pharonic “Coptic” Calendar – Julian Gregorian Calendar – Hebrew Calendar – Syriac Calendar – Roman Calendar – Persian Calendar – Greek Calendar – Babylonian Calendar – Hijri Calendar.

The Hijri calendar system is based on the lunar month, which represents the time it takes for the moon to make one complete revolution around the Earth. -Aghir – 7th Rajab – 8th Sha’ban – 9th Ramadan – 10th Shawwal – 11th Al-Qa’tah – 12th Al-Hijjah.

The Hijri, lunar or Islamic calendar is a calendar that determines the months based on the cycle of the moon. Some Arab countries, such as Saudi Arabia, adopt it as their official state calendar. It was established by Caliph Umar bin. Al-Khattab recorded the emigration of the Prophet (PBUH) from Makkah to Madinah on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal (24th September 622 AD). This is the reason why it is called Hijri calendar.
