WhatsApp running on iPad as a connected device, here’s what it looks like

WhatsApp on iPad isn’t happening yet, but the platform is working on a feature that allows users to connect their WhatsApp account to iPad. WhatsApp iPad Support Status Confirmed iPad App Coming Soon?

According to WABetaInfo’s screenshot, the app recognizes your iPad as a connected device. There are two ways this can happen. First, WhatsApp can work on the iPad app. So when the app is released, device tethering should be part of its features. Second, WhatsApp may upgrade its web portal to iPad support. Then, you can access it on your iPad just like WhatsApp Web on your desktop or laptop. WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, has a bitter relationship with Apple’s privacy practices, which may be one reason why WhatsApp isn’t coming out for the iPad anytime soon.
