With a capacity equal to 1,000 horsepower.. “Lamborghini” released its first electric cars

Italian supercar giant Lamborghini scored a hit at this year’s Monterey Car Week when it unveiled its future electric car ahead of schedule for the first time.

The “Lamborghini Lanzador” car is planned to bring high ground clearance, have two rows of seats but only two doors, “Yahoo Finance” noted and seen by “Al Arabiya.net”.

The “Lanzador” looks similar to the “Urus SUV”, although it is closer to the “coupe” and sedan than its predecessor with the traditional internal combustion engine “Urus”.

The car was scheduled to be released in 2028, so it was a surprise to many that Lamborghini released its concept car ahead of the actual launch.

As for the powertrain, Lamborghini says the Lanzarote has an electric motor on each axle that, under certain conditions, can deliver a maximum power of more than 1 megawatt, equivalent to 1,000 horsepower.

The all-wheel drive system features electronic active torque vectoring on the rear axle, which means power can be concentrated on the rear axle from left to right, providing “dynamic cornering behaviour”.

For his part, Lamborghini design chief Mitja Burkert said the Lanzarote car was inspired by “spaceships” and that the cabin’s heavy front look and sharp lines and wrinkles give it the impression of a space snake from another dimension.

As Lamborghini said, the interior will come from sustainably sourced leather, 100% merino wool and, importantly, 100% renewable carbon and recycled plastic.

The company did not specify the exact price or timing of the actual launch of the new electric model.
