Al-Ahly youth manager Khaled Al-Kaabi has confirmed his team’s technical and moral readiness to face Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia tomorrow in the Asian play-off to qualify for the group stage of the AFC Champions League. Al-Kaabi told Emirates Today: “Our players are ready for the match. Everyone in the team knows very well the importance of this clash and what the outcome will be. I believe the team played two good matches against Jordanian Al-Wehdad. And Ajman, Al-Ahly’s youth team this season. Emphasized the level of growth and strength.”

“The results of the recent victory will not disappoint Al-Ahli’s youth, and the big names of the (Al-Alami) stars will not threaten (the Knights),” he pointed out.

He added: “It is important for our players to focus on the win and play with the same enthusiasm and determination they had in front of Al-Wehdad and Ajman. Well done”.

He pointed out: “We will enter the competition, we have only one thought, and that is the result, not the big names that include Al-Nasr, not even its position in the Saudi league after losing two matches in a row. The player who faces the other 11, and the determination and focus to win. Whoever is in, will achieve it regardless of other things. On whether the club fears that Al-Ahly’s youth will be exhausted after playing three matches in eight days, Khaled Al-Kaabi said: “It’s a reality imposed on Al-Ahly’s youth and we just deal with it realistically without trying to make excuses. Can. Fatigue is the answer. In the Ajman match with the players, especially in the last minute of the clash, about 85 minutes as a result of playing with 10 players, and because of the high temperature and humidity, but we face an important and fateful match. ».

Confirming the morale impact of the victory over Ajman and Al-Ahly Youth’s ability to retain the league title, Al-Kaabi replied: “There is no doubt that it was an important victory and we came out of it. With many victories, the most important of which was that the team did not concede any goals in two matches, and Six goals were scored, which are good percentages that confirm the level of excellent work done by the technical staff during the preparation. It is very important that we win the opening match of the season, thereby giving the team and the fans great confidence in advancing towards the competition for the league championship, which we undoubtedly put in the goals and plans of the season.

On the other hand, the coaches of the youth team, led by Serbian player Marko Nikolic, are putting the final touches on the style of play and the line-up to play the winning match during the team’s training session this evening. At the stadium (Al-Awal Park) in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, which will host the tournament. Al-Ahli Youth is expected to enter the conflict with the same design that opened the Ajman tournament, with Al-Nasr focusing on shutting down parties that are at the center of attacks and at risk.

Khalid al-Kaabi:

• “It is important that our players are at the peak of their concentration in a winning match and they play with the same enthusiasm and determination that they had in front of Al Wehdad and Ajman.”

• “Al-Fursan” started the season strong, defeating Al-Wehdat in the opening round of the “Asia Champions” and then winning against Ajman in the first round of the ADNOC Professional League.
