Egyptian Premier League rival Npi Club said its player Eric Dreyer “went missing” several days ago. The club contacted his wife and his agent to trace his whereabouts, but to no avail.

Mohamed Ismail, the club’s director of football, told TV reports that the 26-year-old winger, Draye, who arrived from Burkina Faso and was on loan from the Pyramids, “disappeared from the Aswan match (last month) when coach Tamer Mustafa asked. He was brought on as a substitute in the final minutes, but he went to the dressing room, then left the field, and hasn’t appeared since.

He added, “After the Eid al-Fitr holiday, his absence continued and the club tried to contact him to inquire about him, but he switched off his phones.”

He continued, “We went to his residence and contacted his wife, but she said she had not heard from him for several days.”

“We wanted to register a police report but his wife has refused to do so at present and the club does not have his passport and we do not know if he has traveled outside the country.”

He confirmed that the NPP informed the Egyptian Football Association of the player’s disappearance, but did not file a complaint against him.

“The club’s priority is to find out whether the club’s anger was due or not,” Ismail pointed out, checking the Aswan and Misr line-up player before the clearing house. Something’s wrong.”

And he continued: “Eric was recalled this season and participated in minutes with us. The problem is strange, because Eric is one of the best foreign players to come to Egypt.”

“We hope he is in good condition and we will discuss procedures later.”

And he stressed: “In fact, it is strange that he disappeared during this period, and there was no reason for him to run away and interrupt training, and his passport was in his possession, because he was a loan player at our club and not a team. We want his contract.”

Enppi are tenth in the league with 33 points from 27 matches and are eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Al-Ahly are top of the Egyptian league table with 53 points from 21 matches, three points behind second-placed Future after 26 matches.
