Rising stars Marco Penge, Kristoffer Reitan, Haotong Li and Tyrrell Hatton have been confirmed for the season-ending DP World Tour Championship, which takes place from 13–16 November at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
The quartet joins defending champion and current Race to Dubai leader Rory McIlroy, completing the current top five on the 2025 Race to Dubai Rankings. All five players are set to battle for the prestigious Harry Vardon Trophy when the season reaches its climax on the Earth Course.
For Englishman Penge, the season has marked a remarkable breakthrough just a year after narrowly keeping his card by finishing 110th in the Rankings. The 27-year-old clinched his maiden Tour victory at the Hainan Classic earlier this year, followed by a runner-up finish at the Genesis Scottish Open and another win at the Danish Golf Championship. These results propelled him to second place on the Race to Dubai, secured the Closing Swing title, and confirmed his debut appearance in the DP World Tour Play-Offs.
“It’s been an incredible season for me,” said Penge. “To go from just keeping my card last year to winning twice and now being right up there on the Race to Dubai is something I could only have dreamed of. To have the chance to compete for the Harry Vardon Trophy in Dubai is really special, and I’m looking forward to finishing the season on such a big stage.”
Norway’s Reitan has also enjoyed a breakthrough campaign. After finishing seventh on the HotelPlanner Tour’s Road to Mallorca Rankings last year, the 27-year-old became only the second Norwegian to secure a DP World Tour title with his triumph at the Soudal Open. Four further top-five finishes have since lifted him to third in the Rankings as he prepares for his first appearance at the DP World Tour Championship.
“I’m really excited to finish the season in Dubai at the DP World Tour Championship,” said Reitan. “Every player wants to be part of this tournament – it shows you’ve had a good year, and hopefully I can finish the season strongly.”
China’s Haotong Li and England’s Tyrrell Hatton, currently fourth and fifth in the Rankings respectively, have also added to their impressive records this season. Li secured his fourth DP World Tour title at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, holing a decisive 15-foot birdie putt on the final green to win by a single shot. It marked his first victory since 2022, when he claimed the BMW International Open.
Just weeks earlier, Hatton captured his eighth DP World Tour title and equalled the record for most Rolex Series wins with his fifth crown, defeating Daniel Hillier in a thrilling final-round duel at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. His form has also guaranteed automatic qualification for his fourth consecutive Ryder Cup appearance as part of Luke Donald’s European team.
Ryder Cup star Hatton added: “I had a great start to the year in Dubai, so I’m really looking forward to returning to finish the season at what is always one of the best stops of the year on the Tour.”
Before the DP World Tour Championship brings the season to a close, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship will kick off the Play-Offs, with the top 70 available players from the Back 9 events set to compete at Yas Links. Following that, the top 50 players will advance to the DP World Tour Championship, where the winner of the Race to Dubai will be crowned.
