The Scientific Committee of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center held its third meeting of the current year under the chairmanship of Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, in the presence of the scientific committee members. , in which Professor Dr. Bilal Urfali, Prof. Dr. Khalil Al-Sheikh, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Khadami, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Kaabi, and Prof. Dr. Vitaly Naumkin, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Al-Mussour, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Fadl Badran, Prof. Dr. Hanada Taha, and Prof. Dr. Wen-Xin Ouyang, with the participation of Saeed Al-Thaniji, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the Center’s projects and initiatives, artificial intelligence initiatives and their role in serving the Arabic language, and the importance of Arabic speakers and non-native speakers continuing to study Arabic language curricula in schools and universities. We saw the proposal of new science projects to be added to the series of programs and projects that the Abu Dhabi Language Center operates. The Arabic language was included in its strategic plan for 2024 and the terms of reference were discussed and finalized. A management plan for the roles of the scientific team and future projects of the Centre.
In an effort to raise the status of the Arabic language and ensure its existence, Dr. Dr. Ali bin Tamim confirmed. He appreciated the role of the scientific team in improving the work mechanism at the center, both locally and globally, and urged to continue efforts to improve the Arabic language, especially the great trust the center has on its scientific team. A path towards more quality programs and projects that support the achievement of future goals and strategies.
