ADNOC Gas has signed an agreement with the Japanese company to supply liquefied natural gas for 5 years


Global gas processing company ADNOC Gas plc announced yesterday that it has signed a five-year LNG supply agreement with Japan Oil Exploration Company Limited (JAPEX).

The contract, worth between 1.65 billion dirhams ($450 million) and two billion dirhams ($550 million), builds on ADNOC’s track record in strengthening long-standing bilateral relations between the UAE and Japan and strategic partnerships with Japanese energy companies. .

Ahmad Al-Abri, CEO of ADNOC Gas, said: “Japan is one of the UAE’s most important and largest partners in the energy sector, and we are delighted to strengthen this relationship by signing an agreement with Japan Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. (JPEX), the move for the supply of liquefied natural gas. Natural gas plays an important role as a transition fuel due to its low carbon emissions compared to other fossil fuels. It is also an important source of raw materials for industrial value chains.
