Manchester City manager Pep Cardiola has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as a “scoring machine” who was the first sign of a Portuguese player after he hated City’s bid and decided to return to United.
The Cardiola newspaper “Mirror” said in a statement. British: “I did not watch the United match (against Atlanta).” I’m going to analyze it to see its strengths and weaknesses. “
“We saw him (United) last season. They have one of the best players in history. He could be a scoring machine.”
Ronaldo has scored nine goals in 10 appearances so far this season since the return of “Old Trafford” as Manchester United’s best player.
Cardiola added: “People were upset when I told them today that the Club Bruge match in the Champions League was more important than the match against Manchester United.”
He added: “Now Manchester United’s match is the most important of all.
City took Group A with nine points ahead of Paris Saint-Germain by nine points, and needed one point to cross the group stage for the ninth time in a row.
Manchester United’s last game before the international break in November will be big, with eternal rivals Manchester City coming to Old Trafford next Saturday.
This is the first Manchester derby to be played in front of an audience since March 2020.
