The 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge will run from 31 October to 29 November 2026, asking residents and visitors to commit to 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days.
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) will hold an official press conference on Tuesday 27 October at Coca-Cola Arena to celebrate the launch of the edition, according to the organisers’ invitation. It will include welcome remarks from DET, DSC and Dubai Fitness Challenge spokespeople and a partner panel discussion, followed by a Dubai Basketball game against Paris Basketball at the arena.
A decade of 30×30
The challenge was launched under the vision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The Dubai Media Office, in a statement carried by Dubai One, said it began in 2017 and has grown into “one of the world’s largest community fitness initiatives”, with more than 16 million participants so far. The statement said this year’s edition would use digital innovation to connect with more people.
The 2026 theme is “What’s Your 30×30?”, according to Gulf News. The organisers say the edition is open to people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels, and Gulf News reported that registration is free.
Gulf News reported that Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, said the simplicity of the 30×30 concept had helped make physical activity accessible to people of different ages and abilities.
