Dubai Police have announced the opening of the Dubai Police Carnival, which begins tomorrow, Friday 9 January, at City Walk as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival.

The event will run for three days, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm each evening. It offers entertainment, practical demonstrations, and interactive activities designed to help the public learn more about policing in an open and accessible environment.

Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, said the carnival reflects Dubai Police’s focus on communication with the public and on creating shared experiences that support safety, trust, and community wellbeing.

Discover key police and community services

Visitors will be able to learn about a range of services, including the Dubai Police smart app, volunteering options through the national volunteering platform, home security support, cybercrime awareness at the e-Crime Hub, Police Eye reporting services, lost and found assistance, enquiries related to alerts and travel bans, and the Aman Roads platform, which focuses on road safety.

The Dubai Police Museum will also be open during the carnival, allowing visitors to explore the history of policing in Dubai and see how security methods and technology have developed over time.

Live displays and hands-on activities

The programme includes motorcycle and bicycle displays, live music by the Dubai Police Academy band, police dog demonstrations, and displays of luxury tourist patrol vehicles. Visitors can also experience a virtual reality tour inside the Ghiath patrol car. Heritage exhibits will feature a classic Land Rover, the Ramadan cannon, and items from the UAE SWAT Challenge, including an armoured vehicle and diving equipment.

Activities for families and children

Children and families can take part in workshops at the Makers Studio (Al Sunaa), try digital games, join sports activities, solve puzzles, and take part in competitions. The Khalid Children’s Magazine platform will also offer activities and gifts for younger visitors.

The Dubai Police Carnival provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to spend time together, explore public services, and engage with policing in a relaxed setting at City Walk.
