Ras Al Khaimah, March 25 / WAM / Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Zakir Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, has confirmed that the commercial operation of the second Baraka nuclear power plant is a major national achievement in the early days of the United Arab Emirates. Congratulating the country’s leadership on its path for the next fifty years, the reason for this achievement is that it serves as a metaphor for its guidance, improving energy security and supporting efforts to achieve sustainable development.

His Highness, in a statement on the occasion, praised the efforts of the Baraka Peaceful Nuclear Plant Project Committee, which embodies Emirati’s capabilities.

He said that as part of efforts to tackle climate change and achieve sustainable growth in various sectors, the Barக்காa Peaceful Nuclear Power Plant project is becoming an essential pillar in the country’s ambitious vision of reducing carbon emissions by 2050 and achieving climate neutrality.

He said the UAE presents a key global model of climate action and has succeeded in doubling its clean energy production in less than a year from the commercial activity of the first plant, through the commercial operation of the second Baraka plant. For its flagship projects in the field of renewable energy.
